Conservastore Energy Saving Tips

Todays Conservastore Energy Saving Tip is courtesy of the Jerri Farris book 10-Minute Energy-Saving Secrets:

Cooking for the Holidays:
-Leave the oven door closed during cooking but open it after cooking and the oven is turned off to increase room warmth
-Use your toaster oven whenever possible--much more economical than a large oven
-Don't overfill the oven
-Shine your burner reflector bowls to direct more heat to the pot or pan
-Replace warped pots and pans--flat surface area is preferred
-Limit oven preheat times
-Keep gas burners clean--the flames should be blue
